ID Policy

All students, faculty, staff, and guests must check in with credentials at the RAC and UFCU Alumni Gym for entry into the facility. NO EXCEPTIONS. Bring your SEU ID card AND phone with proof of completion of required Daily Health screen via the TopperSafe App.

COVID-19 UPDATE

Access to the RAC, UFCU Alumin Gym, and outdoor facilities is currently restricted.  Check back here in early August for Fall 2020 access plans and opportunities.

Recretaional Facilities

Recreation and Wellness provides cardio equipment, strength training facilities, basketball courts, racquetball courts, and a pool to ensure there’s always a way to be active on campus.  All you need is your ID to enter our facilities and take advantage of a variety of fitness opportunities.

Recreation and Athletic Center (RAC)

Following a renovation that was completed in 2020, the renovated RAC is home to campus wellbeing, recreation, and fitness initiatives. It is home to a variety of recreation facilities available to our community including:

  • Recreation Fitness Center with state of the art strength and condition equipment provided by TRUE
  • Multipurpose Fitness Studio
  • Tech-Free Wellness Lounge
  • Wellness Seminar / Co-working Room
  • 6 lane 25 yard Pool
  • Racquetball Court
  • Gymnasium for basketball, volleyball, indoor soccer, dodgeball, and other gym activities
  • Recreational Locker Rooms
  • Gender Neutral Locker Room

RAC Pool

The RAC pool is closed indefinitely

UFCU Alumni Gym

The UFCU Alumni Gym was renovated in Fall 2014. Housing one full basketball court, two volleyball courts, a fitness studio and Recreation & Wellness administration offices, the Alumni Gym serves as a hub for recreational activity. The Alumni Gym hosts most GroupX classes, Club Sport practices and meetings, Intramural Sports contests and open recreation opportunities for students. 

Practice Soccer Field (Intramural Field)

The Practice Soccer Field is available (when possible) for Intramural Sports events, Club Sports practices and games, and special events upon request. Open recreation is not permitted on the field.

Recreation Field (Teresa Field)

Opened in Fall 2010, the Recreation Field is available at all times for Club Sports, open recreation, intramural sports, and special events. You can find rugby, lacrosse, ultimate frisbee, soccer, flag football or even boot camps on the Recreation Field.

Outdoor Running Track

The outdoor track circles the Lewis-Chen Family Field and is available for walking and jogging. The track measures at just over 1/4 mile in length.

Reserving RecWell facilities

Reserving Recreation and Wellness Facilities (On Campus Departments and ORGS)

To ensure the appropriate use of space, athletic and recreational programming needs are prioritized. When available, university departments, individuals and student organizations may request the use of various facilities. A fee may be associated with reservations to cover overhead costs and to ensure the security of the facility.
